Ipswich Area Parks

Ipswich has some great parks for a kids' party or family get-together, from big district parks in Springfield and Ripley to quiet local spots in Brassall, Raceview and Redbank Plains.

Each guide below covers the playground, shelters, barbecues, toilets and parking, plus a map and what to sort out with Council before party day.

Council permits at a glance

In Ipswich City Council parks, you need a Park and Facility Use Permit to book any bookable area, and for a private function with more than 100 people.

Where Council asks for public liability insurance, the minimum is $20 million, with Ipswich City Council named as an interested party.

If you're not sure whether your party needs a permit, call Council on (07) 3810 6666 or read Council's permit information.

Rules can change, so always check with the council before you book. Each park guide has the details for that park.
