Silver Jubilee Park, Spring Mountain

Silver Jubilee Park at 7002 Russell Luhrs Way, Spring Mountain, is a busy sports and play space with a colourful obstacle-course playground, basketball courts and two large fields.

Having a party at Silver Jubilee Park

There's plenty of open space, sheltered tables and a picnic lawn. Ovals A and B and four basketball courts can be booked through Council for up to 500 people each, between 6am and 10pm, and none of them have power. Council notes that the playground, exercise equipment, BBQs, shelters and picnic areas are shared and can't be reserved.

The playground

The playground works like a giant game board. Soft-fall mounds, a tunnel, rope climbing elements and a net nest make up an adventure track, with activity prompts printed on the paths. Toddlers have a music trail with tubes and drums, a basket swing and a double slide. There's also a giant snakes and ladders game painted on the ground. Shade sails cover the play equipment, and the playground isn't fenced.

Sport at the park

Greater Springfield Touch Association, Springfield Lakes Hawks Rugby Union and Springfield Sports and Cultural Club use the park, so the fields can be busy on game days.
