Blue Gum Reserve, Karalee

Blue Gum Reserve is a local sports ground at 52 South Queensborough Parade, Karalee, and home to the Karalee Tornadoes Rugby League Club. Alongside its two ovals there's a playground, picnic shelters and plenty of room to run.

Having a party at Blue Gum Reserve

The reserve has open kick-around areas plus picnic facilities and shelters. Oval A and Oval B can each be booked for up to 500 people between 6am and 10pm. Oval A has power on site and Oval B doesn't.

There's playground equipment for the kids and recreational pathways around the reserve. Council lists the public toilets as needing a key.

Sport at the reserve

The Karalee Tornadoes Rugby League Club is based here, so expect the ovals to be busy on game days and training nights.

Blue Gum Reserve is an Ipswich City Council park. Its ovals are bookable spaces that need a Park and Facility Use Permit, and a permit is also needed for private functions with more than 100 people. Where Council asks for public liability insurance, the minimum is $20 million, with Ipswich City Council named as an interested party. Check the booking calendar on the park page, then apply online.
