Pebble Creek Parklands, South Maclean

Pebble Creek Parklands is a park in South Maclean, in Logan, with a big tower playground, BBQs and an oval. Here's what to know before you plan a party there.

Having a party at Pebble Creek Parklands

Shelters and tables at Pebble Creek Parklands are shared with other park users (even with a Council permit you don't get exclusive use), so get there early on weekends to claim a good spot. There's an off-leash dog area, so set up a little away from it with younger kids.

Playground and facilities

Alongside the playground there is basketball, a BMX track and tennis courts. There are public toilets, including accessible ones. The centrepiece is a multi-level tower with a curved tunnel slide, surrounded by rope bridges, rubber parkour domes and a flying fox. There's also an oval and terraced lawn in the teen area.

Council permit and event notice

We couldn't find Pebble Creek Parklands in Logan City Council's parks directory, so check with Council on 07 3412 3412 who looks after it before you book. In Council parks, the rules are: logan City Council asks you to fill in its Notify us of your event form for an event in one of its parks, and to allow 21 days for it to be reviewed. If your party includes a jumping castle or any other amusement, you'll need a permit, and the equipment needs a registration certificate from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (the Office of Fair and Safe Work Queensland). There's no charge to use the park for a private party, but a permit doesn't give you exclusive use, so you may be sharing the space with other park users. Power isn't available for event equipment, so Council allows generators as long as you manage the noise, and it can cancel permits in poor weather.
