Council permit and event notice

Oates Park is a Logan City Council park. Logan City Council asks you to fill in its Notify us of your event form for an event in one of its parks, and to allow 21 days for it to be reviewed. If your party includes a jumping castle or any other amusement, you'll need a permit, and the equipment needs a registration certificate from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (the Office of Fair and Safe Work Queensland). There's no charge to use the park for a private party, but a permit doesn't give you exclusive use, so you may be sharing the space with other park users. Power isn't available for event equipment, so Council allows generators as long as you manage the noise, and it can cancel permits in poor weather.
