Logan Gardens, Logan Central
Logan Gardens is a park in Logan Central, in Logan, with a playground, BBQs, picnic areas and toilets. We've set up castles here before, so we know the park well. Here's what to know before you plan a party there.
Having a party at Logan Gardens
Shelters and tables at Logan Gardens are shared with other park users (even with a Council permit you don't get exclusive use), so get there early on weekends to claim a good spot. Council lists it as an ideal wedding location, so you may see ceremonies on Saturdays. There's an off-leash dog area, so set up a little away from it with younger kids.
Playground and facilities
Alongside the playground there is fitness equipment, a bike track, walking tracks, disc golf and bocce. There are public toilets.
Around the park
Logan Gardens is a landscaped park with grassy spots under large gums, and it's one of the parks Council lists for large events. The outdoor gym has ten pieces of equipment covering 17 exercises, including a cross trainer, spin bike and leg press.
Sport at Logan Gardens
The park is home to Logan Brothers Rugby League Club. Car parks and fields can be busy on game days, so check fixtures before you lock in a weekend date.

Council permit and event notice
Logan Gardens is a Logan City Council park. Logan City Council asks you to fill in its Notify us of your event form for an event in one of its parks, and to allow 21 days for it to be reviewed. If your party includes a jumping castle or any other amusement, you'll need a permit, and the equipment needs a registration certificate from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (the Office of Fair and Safe Work Queensland). There's no charge to use the park for a private party, but a permit doesn't give you exclusive use, so you may be sharing the space with other park users. Power isn't available for event equipment, so Council allows generators as long as you manage the noise, and it can cancel permits in poor weather.
