Ewing Park, Woodridge

Ewing Park is a park in Woodridge, in Logan, with a playground, BBQs, picnic areas and toilets. Here's what to know before you plan a party there.

Having a party at Ewing Park

Shelters and tables at Ewing Park are shared with other park users (even with a Council permit you don't get exclusive use), so get there early on weekends to claim a good spot. There's an off-leash dog area, so set up a little away from it with younger kids.

Playground and facilities

Alongside the playground there is basketball, fitness equipment, a bike track and volleyball. There are public toilets, including accessible ones.

Sport at Ewing Park

The park is home to Logan City Netball Association. Car parks and fields can be busy on game days, so check fixtures before you lock in a weekend date.

Council permit and event notice

Ewing Park is a Logan City Council park. Logan City Council asks you to fill in its Notify us of your event form for an event in one of its parks, and to allow 21 days for it to be reviewed. If your party includes a jumping castle or any other amusement, you'll need a permit, and the equipment needs a registration certificate from Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (the Office of Fair and Safe Work Queensland). There's no charge to use the park for a private party, but a permit doesn't give you exclusive use, so you may be sharing the space with other park users. Power isn't available for event equipment, so Council allows generators as long as you manage the noise, and it can cancel permits in poor weather.
