The cost of running an event can greatly change, depending on the size, time of year, your theme or event reason. However, there is always a number of things to organise and plenty of things to spend money on.
One thing, that can be easy to do yourself, add some creativity to your event and, of course, allow you to save some money for your next jumping castle event, is to create your very own invitations (if time allows).
Creating your own invitations can be a fun activity to do alone, do with friends, with family or with the children. And this just helps add to the excitement of your next Jumping Castle event.
What can creating your own invites allow:
- By creating your very own home-made invites you are able to show off your personality. Use colours and materials that you like, that you have available at home, that match your theme and are comfortable with. For example a sack/hessian cloth covered invite might encourage the idea that you are down to earth and adventurous. Whereas a lace or glitter covered invite might show that you are a girly girl and playful.
- Set the tone for your event: More often than not, only you can bring out the idea that you have.
- When we are able to repurpose materials that we would otherwise get rid of to create useful stuff, it’s not only good for the environment but good for our pockets as well. That’s a Yay in our books!
Ideas to get you started:
- Choose a type of paper or card
- Decide how much room you need to record the information for the invitation
- Choose your colour themes
- How will you decorate them? Paint, pens, stickers, glue, sparkles, materials, organic items, flowers, etc.
- How will you send them out?
- What are you hoping they will show?
- Get people involved to help
- Don't worry about perfection, have fun with it
- Be true to yourself and proud of your creations
- Keep one to look back at in the future
Your guests will appreciate the effort that has been made in creating the invites and I am sure you will have fun memories to look back at, once they have been sent out or delivered.
